Generous staff at a Kidderminster legal firm have helped to get a local food bank back up and running following two devastating break-ins.

Staff from Birmingham Road-based mfg Solicitors have donated several boxes of  unopened, essential food to Kidderminster Food Bank after Baxter Church Hall in the town centre was burgled twice in recent weeks.
Thieves stole money, a laptop and some food supplies from the hall – leaving staff at the facility unable to provide their usual support to local people in need.
Laura Moore, Solicitor at mfg Solicitors said: “When we found out about the burglary we wanted to do something to help as everyone knows what a big lifeline the food bank is for many people and families in and around Kidderminster.
“We literally filled a car boot full of items like tins, pasta, rice and cereal. We just hope that it helps in some way for the food bank to get back on its feet and re-stock many of the items which were taken.”
Laura added that staff at the law firm have now placed a food donation box in their office’s kitchen area which when full, will be regularly taken to the food bank.
Kidderminster Food Bank provides food for individuals and families in crisis. It also helps people with finding jobs and completing job applications. Last year the Food Bank gave three-day emergency food supplies to over 2,700 people in the Kidderminster area.
