A kind-hearted Worcestershire law firm has donated £350 to a local charity as part of its ongoing fundraising efforts.

Staff at mfg Solicitors, which has offices on The Tything in Worcester, held several events throughout the past 12 months for the Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter, which takes in abandoned and mistreated animals who are in need of care or medical treatment.
The legal firm’s fundraising events included numerous staff raffles, as well as collecting blankets, towels, food and toys for the charity which is based in Newland, near Malvern.
Kirsten Bridgewater, partner and head of mfg’s CSR committee said: “Our staff have made a great contribution to our charitable giving in the past 12 months.
“Their efforts and generosity have been superb and I hope this will help such a brilliant charity to care and re-home the dogs and cats they take in. The team rely heavily on donations for a variety of items including food and bedding. I am so pleased we’ve been able to do our bit.”
Trustee, Secretary and Vice Chair, Kaye Gibbard added: “We’d like to thank everyone at mfg Solicitors for their support. Their fundraising is vital if we are to keep delivering services and support for the animals at the shelter.”
Ms Bridgewater added that mfg Solicitors will announce its chosen charities for 2019 in the coming weeks, following a staff vote.
Formed in 1983, Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter opens its doors to abandoned, unwanted and mistreated animals in need of urgent care. Their main aims are to give shelter, medical treatment, care and a home to these animals.
Nine year old Betsy, the dog who is photographed, is currently looking for a good home. She is friendly and social and would make a great companion.
Staff at mfg will continue to hold a variety of fundraising events throughout this year.
