Monday 15th October 2018 Catering managers, supervisors and staff involved in the preparation of food, or in fact, anyone with an interest in following a healthier diet, are all being invited to attend a practical afternoon workshop this Autumn, packed with business advice and top tips.

The Healthier Choices Food Award (HCFA) scheme (run by Worcestershire Regulatory Services) is hosting a ‘Healthier Catering Workshop’ at Feli’s Bar & Restaurant on October 15th.
Aimed primarily, but not exclusively, at small, independent businesses, it’s being delivered by qualified nutritionists and professional food and safety professionals, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet other business owners in the same industry and exchange ideas.
On the menu will be information and guidance on healthy eating, healthier menu choices for customers, how to increase profits with portion control and reduced food waste, and catering for customers with food allergies.
Better still, it’s FREE for businesses already signed up to the HCFA scheme, and offered at a reduced rate for members of WRS’s new Worcestershire Food & Drink group (WF&D):
Said Amy Woodcock of WRS: “HCFA was launched in 2015 and recognises Worcestershire food businesses which provide customers with a variety of healthier and flexible menu options. It’s open to county eateries who have a four or five-star food hygiene rating.
Current members all seem to agree that having recognised credentials helps to instil consumer confidence, signal high quality and standards and ultimately, increase business. We are very keen to encourage more food and drink providers to sign up.”
