Gaudet Luce held its latest Charity day on Friday 15 September, in support of the RNLI Lifeboats.

Members chose to support the charity and raise awareness in the area of the invaluable service the charity do.  The charity day was also organised in memory of former member, Roy Orchard.

Over 100 players took to the Phoenix course for a friendly yet competitive game. Following the game, players regrouped in the clubhouse for refreshments and an awards ceremony where winners W. Furber, M.Furkner and D.Topman of Kings Norton Golf Club were commended.

Kings Norton golf club also took second place with runners up M.Furber, C.Hobson and R.Minor. Gaudet Luce’s own M.Siddle, N.Higgins and B.Glynn were congratulated on taking third place.

To support the fundraising, raffle tickets were sold for an abundance of great prizes including gym sessions, art, chocolates and even a private flight. Gaudet Luce would like to thank members, visitors and local businesses for their charitable donations.

On site was a RNLI merchandising stall ran by the Ladies Lifeboat Guild. The combination of green fees and donations raised a fantastic £1200.00 for the RNLI which will be used towards saving lives at sea.

Gaudet Luce will also be welcoming Ladies Breast Cancer and Charity Dot Com to the course over the next few weeks for their Charity Days.
