The Courtyard has successfully scooped a national award for its latest fundraising campaign I Heart CY.

The Courtyard was selected out of hundreds of nominations and 19 shortlisted entrants, as one of the 8 organisations to win a 2017 Emcees Award in the Best Individual Giving Campaign category. These awards, established by =mc and the National Arts Fundraising School, aim to recognise excellence in arts and culture fundraising. The winners were announced on Thursday 4th May 2017 at a special event held at LAMDA’s brand new Sainsbury Theatre in London.

The winners were chosen by a panel of judges, including Bernard Ross, =mc and National Arts Fundraising School Founder-Director; Anamaria Wills, Cultural & Creative Consultant at Evans Wills Partnership, Howard Lake, Director of Fundraising UK; Miranda Rowlands, SHARED Enterprise Project Officer with Norfolk Museums Service and Ian Tabbron, NAFS Alumnus.

Ian Archer, Chief Executive and Artistic Director of The Courtyard, said: “We're delighted to have been chosen as the winner of The Best Individual Giving Campaign, and I am very proud of everyone at The Courtyard for creating and making I Heart CY so successful.

Our fundraising helps us, through the arts, to be able to work with many people within Herefordshire. Our dedicated staff are committed to making a difference and receiving this award has given us a huge boost. We are very thankful for the recognition.”
