CFT ON THE HUNT FOR A NEW BOARD MEMBER

Home / News & Opportunities / Member News

Date: 22/08/2018

The CFT is a well-established Registered Charity and an Independent Fostering Agency providing foster placements for children across England.

Our not-for-profit organisation has been providing homes for children since we began in 1945 and although we have grown considerably over the years, we have always remained true to our ethos of providing a family for life.

As we continue our work and strive provide more foster placements than ever before, we are thrilled to announce that we are looking for an exceptional individual to join us on our Board of Trustees.
We are looking for someone who shares our values and will be able to commit the time required to attend regular meetings every two months (during the working day) at various venues within the UK.

Being a Trustee gives you the chance to put something into the community and have a direct impact on children’s and young people’s lives at a time when they need support. It also gives you the opportunity to contribute to the development of The CFT Family and develop skills in a range of areas including governance, employment, equal opportunities and fundraising.
Our current Chair of the Trustees, John Glover, had this to say about his experience our organisation. I was originally asked by a former chairman to join The CFT – and I was hooked. I see the difference that wonderful care makes to the children in our care. It makes the hard work of being a trustee more than worthwhile.”

If you are interested in learning more about becoming a Trustee, the unique history of our organisation or have an interest in fostering, please visit our website on www.thecft.org.uk.

A full copy of the trustee job description is available on our website, however if you would like an informal discussion about the role of a Trustee please send an email to the singleton.victoria@thecft.org.uk. If you would like to apply for this position, please send your CV and covering letter to the same address listed.
