Visit Worcestershire and Visit Herefordshire are delighted to join forces once again to bring local tourism businesses the annual Tourism Awards for Excellence 2018.

The awards are aligned with the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, meaning that winners of a related category at a local level have the chance to be put forward to represent their county. As such, many of the VisitEngland Awards are closed to local businesses unless they are the winners at a local level.
Visit Herefordshire’s winner of Best Eating Out 2017, The Riverside at the Aymestrey, took its success to the next level by winning Gold in Tourism Pub of the Year in the VisitEngland awards this April.
Previous finalists have included Hop Pickers Rural Retreats, Stanbrook Abbey, Eckington Manor and Canvas & Clover. The awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the dynamic range of tourism businesses within Worcestershire and Herefordshire, including outdoor adventures, picturesque hotels and extraordinary visitor attractions.
Visit Worcestershire and Visit Herefordshire are thrilled to reveal TWO new categories for the 2018 awards – Best Tourism Pub and Best Sustainable Business. The brand new awards mean that businesses can now enter individual applications for 12 different categories, including; Best Conference Venue, Best Drinks Producer, Best Eating Out, Best Festivals & Events, Best Food Producer, Best Guest Accommodation, Best Hotel, Best Self Catering, Best Sustainable Business, Best Touring, Camping and Holiday Park, Best Tourism Pub and Best Visitor Attraction.
Last year’s Tourism Awards for Excellence was hosted by John Challis, best known for his role in the hit BBC television comedy series Only Fools and Horses. Speaking at the event, Mr Challis said: “It’s been a great honour to help present the Visit Herefordshire and Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards for Excellence. It has been a terrific afternoon here at the Malvern Theatres, and it was brilliant to see so many people here who have done so much to help tourism in both the counties.”
