Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce that it has extended its competition to guess the name of its giraffe for St Richard’s Hospice’s “Worcester Stands Tall” campaign.

From July, 56 giraffes will arrive in Worcester City as part of a Wild in Art event to raise the much needed funds to support St Richard’s Hospice’s Build 2020 campaign to grow the hospice and functionality.
Over 30 businesses and schools across the county have joined forces to sponsor the event, with the countdown now on to reveal the designs of the giraffes that have been created by a host of local artists. The long-necked guests will be placed on a six-mile route across the city, embracing the High Street, parks, schools, shops and open spaces.
To create a buzz around the unveiling of the project, the Chamber has launched a competition to guess the name of its giraffe. Entrants will be in with a chance of winning a fantastic prize – a family pass to West Midlands Safari Park.
The name begins with the letter “B” and is gender neutral.

The Chamber has decided to drop a sneak peek to help you guess...

Your prediction should be sent to with details of your full name - if your guess is correct, then you will be automatically entered into our lucky dip to select a winner!

The lucky winner will receive a family pass for the Safari Park to visit real giraffes before the sculptures take over the city later this summer. The competition will now close on Friday 29 June at 4.00pm, with the winner being announced on Monday 2 July.
The Chamber invites the public and business community to get involved in the competition to raise awareness and support a brilliant initiative that will help St Richard’s Hospice achieve its Build 2020 goal.
