DRP HOSTS ‘FINDING OUR VOICE’ EVENT

Local creative communications agency drp, hosted its biggest and most successful ‘drpbigtalk’ to date on the 27th September 2018, with the theme of “finding our voice”.

This was the third drpbigtalk staged at the company’s studio complex in Worcestershire. Over 140 delegates made up from a diverse range of corporate and public-sector clients attended the day, and evening event, full of insight and innovation which included keynote presentations, interactive breakout sessions, and a sit-down dinner in the evening followed by entertainment. The aim of the event was to provide industry knowledge on key topics and trends to enable growth and ensure their clients were more advanced in their fields of expertise.

The day was hosted by, TV presenter and journalist, Helen Fospero, who, after a spectacular opening to the event, introduced ‘The Five Voices’ session which was presented by international speaker and co-founder of the ‘Five Voices Programme’, Steve Cockram. This session delved into the ways of being an effective communicator in the workplace, owning your voice and deploy it to drive change, innovation and creativity with the aim of creating greater self-awareness, effective communication and high performing teams.

Delegates then had the opportunity to select four out of the six interactive breakout sessions, which included, ‘The Voice in Branding’ by experience brand marketer Claire Harper previously of Sainsburys, Ocado and Mama’s & Papa’s. ‘The Voice in Events’, by drp’s director of events, Matt Franks and head of internal comms, and consumer for BT. ‘The Voice in Innovation’ by creative director at drp, Tommy Moore. ‘The Voice in Social’ hosted by drp’s social media specialist’s Hannah Dinesh and Samantha Griffiths, and finally, ‘The Voice in Technology’, by Callum Gill - head of insight and innovation at drp.

The day event concluded with a highly interactive session involving all the speakers and delegates in an open forum setup.

The evening included a drinks reception, and a sustainability-sourced dinner, presented by local chef, Daren Bale, who prepared the meal using Worcestershire’s finest ingredients all sourced within a 10-mile radius of the studios. The guest speaker was, ‘The People Hacker’ Jenny Radcliffe, who stunned the audience with her physical and digital hacking capabilities.

In addition, His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester, visited the creative communications agency’s head office. The visit was planned to provide an opportunity to explore drp’s pioneering business and see first-hand the ethos and culture that has seen drp’s impressive growth.
