BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVES SOUGHT FOR ROLES ON CHAMBER MANIFESTO WORKING GROUPS

Home / News & Opportunities / Chamber News

Date: 31/01/2018

The Chamber seeks local business leaders to sit on working groups to tackle key issues in their latest manifesto with other likeminded firms.

In January this year, Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce launched the Business Manifesto 2018 and in line with planned activity over the next twelve months announced working groups for the six key areas of the manifesto.

Each working group will consist of approximately six local business representatives, from a variety of sectors and areas across the two counties, to collaborate on tackling local policy issues with the Policy Department.

Members of the working groups will be committed to attending three meetings over the course of 2018, where they will be able to actively participate and influence the development of one of the following issues:

  • Skills
  • Brexit
  • Transport Infrastructure
  • Connectivity
  • Reducing the Cost of Doing Business
  • Cyber Crime
To Register Interest

If one of these topics captures your interest and you would like to get involved, we would love to hear from you.

Please get in touch with the title of the group you would like to join and a few sentences (no more than 100 words) as to what you could bring to the group by Friday 23rd February 2018.

There are limited spaces on these groups and depending on level of interest groups may quickly become full, in which case individuals will be judged on their short précis.

Please contact Sophia Haywood, Policy Manager on sophiah@hwchamber.co.uk to register your interest.
