“I’m aiming for this apprenticeship to help me understand more about the industry, as well as helping me pick up some vital technical and practical knowledge in electrical engineering.
“I am most excited to finally be able to test myself within a new professional setting.”
Josh joins a team of fully accredited engineers who build and upgrade primary substations on the distribution network..
On discussing the appointment of Josh, Finance Director, Matt Crampton said: “It is great to add another apprentice to the growing Rock Team. We take pride in investing in training and development opportunities and it is really impressive to see how quickly other trainees have acquired new electrical skills with the coaching and mentoring of well-established Site Managers. It breeds a real ethos of quality and competence.”
The appointment follows the recent success of Rock Power Connection’s first apprentice Hubaib Atltaf, who was awarded the Advanced Apprenticeship Apprentice of the Year award at Heart of Worcestershire College, after joining the company in May 2016.
Matt continued: “Our first apprentice, Hubaib, has developed magnificently during his time here and we hope that Josh will follow in his footsteps to become a valuable member of the team.”
“We are always interested in recruiting talented individuals as we continue to grow the business, where playing an active role in supporting apprenticeships enables us to mould our future workforce.”
