Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is once again partnering with patron members Hewett Recruitment to bring you the annual HR Professionals Conference 2017.  This annual event marks a key date in the Chamber events calendar not to be missed by any one responsibility for people and HR. The conference is open to all HR professionals, directors and business owners across Herefordshire & Worcestershire.

Kevin Green, 
Chief Executive of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation

Kevin is a regular commentator on the UK labour market on national TV and was recently expert adviser on BBC2’s ‘Who’s The Boss’ programme. Before joining the REC as Chief Executive, Kevin was HR Director for Royal Mail and was responsible for all people realted issues for a business with 165,000 employees and helped to transform an organisation losing £1million a day in 2003 to making more than £600m profit in 2007.
This year Kevin's interactive and dynamic presentation will challenge your perception about what creates value into today's economy. Kevin will highlight how this is the golden age for HR, but only if they get offensive! 

Sally Morris, Partner and Head of Employment at mfg Solicitors 

Sally is set to join the HR conference as our resident 'legal eagle'.
As one of the leading employment law solicitors in the county Sally will be sharing with delegates recent and impending changes to legislation due to affect UK businesses as well as updates on recent case law. Sally wil provide delegates with practical advice on steps for implementation to ensure HR and your organisation are working safely within the law in this ever changing landscape.


Bernie Pelster, Chief People Officer at Open GI 
Bernie Pelster has nearly 20 years HR experience across both the public and private sector and is Chief People Officer for Open GI Ltd, a market leader in the insurance technology industry.
Bernie is responsible for the delivery of HR Transactional Services, Employee Relations, Reward, Learning and Development, Employee Engagement and Internal Communications across the Open GI group and has considerable experience in major system implementations, change management projects, large scale mergers and TUPE programmes.
As guest speaker at this years' Conference Bernie will share her knowledge surroudning the importance of employee engagement to customer satisfaction and what we can do in HR to facilitate that.She will be talking about laying the foundations of transactional HR activities to declutter the working day to make room for more value adding activities, using HR technology to assist with this and with wider engagement.
