Black Pear Electrical promote and recruit apprentices

Black Pear Electrical are delighted to announce the promotion of their first apprentice, Ryan Merry, and successful recruitment of a second. Ryan has developed into a real asset to the business, after joining the team in May 2015. Ryan achieved Apprentice of the year whilst at Heart of Worcestershire college.

Paul Sweeney, MD, says “It’s been great to see how Ryan has grown in this role. It was clear from the start that his qualities of diligence, attention to detail and developing confidence when dealing with customers would be a real asset to our growing team.” Ryan has since passed several technical and health & safety qualifications including testing and inspection, emergency lighting design, installation & maintenance, PASMA IAF and SSSTS health and safety.

Black Pear have taken on a new apprentice, Bayley Preece (pictured above), to support the more experienced staff as the business in the schools and hotel sectors continues to grow. Bayley attended Heart of Worcestershire college and was part of a work experience programme we offered to three students in 2018. “Bayleys’ attitude and enthusiastic approach to learning made him stand out for this position and he’s already proving himself in the job, Ryan and Bayley clearly have a very bright future in the industry.”
