One of the UK’s best female comics, Jo Brand, will be performing a fundraising gig in Hereford for two local charities.
On Wednesday 24 May, Jo Brand will be taking to the stage to raise money for The Courtyard and Megan Baker House. Jo has appeared in Live at the Apollo and on the panel of numerous TV quiz shows such as QI, Countdown and Have I Got News For You. The star and writer of BBC’s BAFTA award winning series Getting On is a patron of both charities and has previously performed a joint fundraiser for them in 2014.
Melanie Denning, Fundraising Manager at The Courtyard says: “Jo’s been such a supportive Honorary Patron for both of our charities for many years and we’re thrilled that she is able to squeeze some time from her hectic schedule to be with us for two comedy gigs in one night in May. We can promise a fantastic evening with great laughs... all supporting two great local charities that really need your help.”
Lee Gough, Chief Executive of Megan Baker House says: “I am delighted at Jo’s offer to, once again, come and support our charities. We both value Jo’s support and that of the local community to help us raise much needed funds for our charities and look forward to seeing everyone on 24th May for a fabulous fun filled evening”
Jo Brand will be at The Courtyard on Wednesday 24 May for two performances in the Main House at 6.30pm & 8.30pm. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk
