Permanent: Full-time – 37 hours, Salary: £35,000 + benefits, Location: Worcester based

The Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is a member-lead, not for profit organisation which works to support the local business community and our network of members.

Our membership has gone from strength to strength and Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce is currently the 7th largest Chamber in the UK. We have an immediate requirement for a Head of Membership to join our busy team. As well as being responsible for the achievement of the membership numerical and financial targets, in line with the Chamber business plan, you will personally account managing the Patron Members, ensuring regular engagement, a clear plan of action and delivery against all annual objectives. To do this you will develop an in-depth knowledge of the Patron & Strategic Members and take responsibility for the facilitation of relevant business introductions across the network.

You will also lead, inspire and motivate the sales and account management teams to achieve their recruitment and retention objectives in line with the Chamber business plan. Putting in place regular performance management reviews to ensure all targets are met, customer satisfaction is achieved and financial performance is maximised. Working with the Strategic Account Manager to account manage the Strategic Members, you will attend joint visits and ensure the delivery of a dynamic programme of high profile member only events, to engage the Patron & Strategic Members.

You will manage the membership commercial services for the Chamber. Including managing stakeholder relationships, maximising member take up and ensuring all member data is inputted into the Chamber’s CRM system. 

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent within a relevant business and/or professional qualification, must have at least three years experience in a sales role and previous line management experience.

You will also have demonstrable track record of consistent target achievement and income generation, excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage with and communicate effectively to business leaders.
