A local charity is calling for sponsors to support its September golf day.

The HOPE Family Centre – based in Bromyard – will host the day which is being organised by Adrian Berry, the father of Heidi Mulholland who is the Centre’s Family Support Team Co-ordinator.

The Centre is offering sponsorship packages for the following competitions :

• Nearest the hole;
• Longest drive;
• Beat the professional;
• Putting.

The event will take place on Friday 15 September at Ross-on-Wye Golf Club, in celebration of Adrian’s 65th birthday; all proceeds will go the Centre to support the work they do and ensure that it can continue to fund the services it provides throughout Herefordshire.

Tee off times will take place between 9.30am and 11.00am; the day will include breakfast on arrival and a late lunch.  Prize giving will take place at 4.00pm.  The cost per person is £50.00 with club members receiving a £20.00 discount.

Sarah Eardley, Chief Executive Officer of The HOPE Family Centre said: “As a charity we rely heavily on the kind donations and legacies given by generous residents and benefactors.  Such fundraising activities are therefore vital to our survival.  We would like to thank Adrian for his support and of course Heidi and all our employees for their continued dedication to the local families we serve.”

Adrian Berry said: “The HOPE Family Centre provides excellent services to the families of Bromyard and the surrounding areas.  My daughter’s role at the Centre means I am very aware of its funding issues and I therefore decided to do my bit to support them and arrange the golf day.  I would like to thank Ross-on-Wye Golf Club for hosting the event and hope for a good turn out on the day.”
