Young people, their families and businesses are all putting their money where the mouth is to support a new mental health fundraiser challenge launched by The CLD Trust to mark World Mental Health Day.
The vibrant donation boxes which have been designed by young mental health champions feature a distinctive mouth logo and are being distributed to individuals, schools, colleges and businesses next week to kick start their Change Chukka Challenge fundraiser.
Kerry Gibson-Yates, Head of Business Development for The CLD Trust said, “Our young SYM Champions & Well-being Ambassadors are really excited to launch this challenge fundraiser and hope that everyone will get involved, have fun and support it. We have seen a significant increase in referrals to all our services in recent months and by raising much needed funds it will allow us to extend our help & support to more young people across the county that need us.”
The Change Chukka Challenge hopes to appeal to those with a competitive spirit, who will think of great ways to raise money, fill their boxes with change & who want to be recognised for their efforts by appearing on the challenge leader board.
Young people have started to collect their donation boxes and are planning a variety of activities to fundraise and raise awareness of young people’s mental health in the county.
