YOU’RE INVITED TO JOIN STELLA IN HOSTING YOUR OWN BIG GET TOGETHER EVENT!

Home / News & Opportunities / Member News

Date: 30/08/2017

This past weekend, Kidderminster resident and KEMP supporter Stella Painter hosted our inaugural Big Get Together event, inviting her friends and family into her garden for a Summer Fete. Stella had lots of people show up throughout the day for fun and games and raised over £350.00 for the vital services offered to our patients.

The Big Get Together is an exciting new way for the Wyre Forest community to get involved in raising much needed funds for local hospice care.  All you have to do is Get Together with your nearest and dearest over the next few months to host a social occasion you might normally do anyway. It doesn’t have to be anything too big or time consuming, just have friends round for a coffee morning or host a family barbeque, and ask for donations to KEMP Hospice from those who attend.

KEMP will be hosting our own Big Get Together at the KEMP Bewdley Shop on Load Street on Septemer 24th with an Afternoon Tea theme. Local residents are invited to come along where they will meet volunteers and staff, and learn more about how they can host their own Big Get Together in aid of KEMP Hospice.

The Big Get Together is quick, easy and best of all FREE to sign up and there’s a dedicated website where you’ll find loads of inspiration to help organise your perfect Get Together. So if you have ever wanted to raise funds for charity but didn’t like the idea of all the hassle that goes into organising your own big event, the Big Get Together might be just the thing for you.

Anyone wishing to hold their own ‘Get Together’ and raise money for KEMP Hospice can find more information on our website www.kemphospice.org.uk, social media pages or go to http://www.thebiggettogether.org.uk/hospice/kemp and sign up now!
