Thursfields have supported the Prince’s Trust for many years and this year we were pleased to be recognised as a ‘Committee Ambassador’ for the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Development Committee.
The Prince’s Trust is a youth charity that helps young people aged 13 to 30 get into jobs, education and training. This year the Trust is celebrating its 40th anniversary and, to celebrate this, the Committee set themselves an ambitious target of raising £40,000.
As well as taking part and supporting various events throughout the year, Thursfields hosted a quiz night in January at Worcester Cricket Club. The event, which saw 27 teams from local businesses battle it out to be crowned the winner, raised over £4,000 for the Trust.
Thursfields were also an event partner for the Trust’s 40th anniversary celebration ball, which took place on 10th February at Worcester Rugby Club. The very glamorous event raised £17,460 and meant the Trust smashed its £40,000 target, with a total amount of £50,225 raised for the year to date.
Kirsty Underhill, a trainee solicitor in our corporate and commercial team, has been a member of the Committee since June 2016. Kirsty represents Thursfields on the Committee and, as well as organising the successful charity quiz night, she assists the Committee with their range of fundraising events.
