Severn Group are working with AD Specialist Agrivert on an anaerobic digestion (AD) Plant construction

Severn Group are carrying out the installation of cold water pipework in fusion welded George Fischer Instaflex. This supply’s cold water to a hammermill which is a de-packaging machine which splits the packaging from the food waste before it is processed into the digestion tanks.
Agrivert are working on this site along with Severn Trent Water to construct the plant. They announced that it will be investing £13m in the new AD plant that will convert household food waste into energy.

Situated in Roundhill near Kinver, the plant will process around 45,000 tonnes of food and liquid waste each year from households and businesses.
Agrivert chief executive Alexander Maddan said: "We are proud of this AD project and the increased accessibility to our industry-leading food waste recycling services it will bring.

"With the Government widely expected to ban the disposal of food waste from landfill in the future, we have seen increased interest from our customers in the collection and recycling of food waste. The important environmental benefits of this service are evident."
