PROMOTION FOR CAMILLA AS RACEOURSE TEAM EXPANDS

Home / News & Opportunities / Member News

Date: 07/07/2017

Hereford Racecourse’s Camilla Esling has been promoted to Racecourse and Operations Manager less than a year after she joined the recently re-opened course.

Part of the small team that welcomed more than 20,000 racegoers to Hereford in its first season for four years, Camilla has been instrumental in ensuring the racedays and other events held at the racecourse run smoothly.

As the team prepares for the new season starting in October, Camilla is looking forward to her new role and responsibilities and working with a new member of the team.

“We’ve had a great first few months,” said Camilla. “I’ve really enjoyed it.  As part of a small team you are in at the deep end from the start but that’s exciting and I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved. I am hugely grateful to ARC for the opportunities I have been given so far and I’m really looking forward to next season, preparations are already well underway!”

Rebecca Davies, Executive Director of Hereford Racecourse, said: “I’ve been really impressed with the way Camilla hit the ground running when she joined us, and her attitude and aptitude in dealing with whatever came her way.  She has naturally grown into the role in a short space of time and I am delighted she has been promoted, it’s well deserved.”

The newly created role at Hereford Racecourse within the expanding team is for a Sales Executive.  As well as proactive commercial sales, the job involves assisting with marketing, organising events and maximising the impact of social media.  Full details can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/yc5prxk6

The new season at Hereford Racecourse starts on Thursday 17th October with the Sausage and Cider Raceday.
