Two new courses for Worcester Uni - Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship & The University Diploma in Leadership & Management.
The new Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship and welcomes enquiries from employers and potential apprentices alike. The course, delivered in collaboration with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), uses a work-based delivery model with day release (one day per week) for University-based studies. Applicants must be in employment, as all assessed work relates to the employer’s organisation and the apprentice’s role. Funding has been secured until March 2017, so that the employer will only need to contribute one third of the cost of the programme, with two thirds coming from Central Government. This pre-dates the introduction of the Apprenticeship levy in April 2017. If you are an employer, committed to developing fresh talent within your organisation, or if you are looking to recruit leaders and managers of the future, this course may be of interest to you. For further details, please contact our Course Manager Dr. Scott Andrews on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01905 543336.
The University Diploma in Leadership & Management (Level 5) course is aimed at first-line managers or those new to
management, or aspiring to a management role. The UDLM combines current leadership & management thinking with a fresh and
practical approach to learning, enabling you to make a short term impact and long term gain for your employer.

It is the time of year where business and computing students are applying to companies to secure placements and internships. Many local organisations have benefitted from taking one of our Business School Undergraduate or Postgraduate students on a one-year paid placement or (up to 6 months) paid or unpaid internship for Postgraduate students only. We have recently had a large intake of students onto our suite of PG awards and are therefore looking for local employers who can offer between 3-6 month internships (starting June 2017) in the areas of Management, Finance, Marketing, HR and International Business. There may also be a limited number looking for internships from January 2017.
The undergraduate placements last 9-15 months where the students are a fixed term employee of your company. We have students in all areas of business and computing looking for placement opportunities in SMEs and large organisations. If you are interested in finding out more about how one of our students can prove a real asset to your business, please contact Kat Jones on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01905 855556.
