One of Herefordshire’s leading family centres welcomed a very special visitor in August.

The HOPE Family Centre, which is based in Bromyard, opened its doors to the High Sheriff of Herefordshire on Wednesday 9 August.
The Reverend Lady Lisvane and her husband Lord Lisvane were invited to the Centre by its Chair, Jan Pearce-Higgins and Chief Executive Officer Sarah Eardley, to showcase the services and support that families and children can access as well as raising awareness of its presence to local Bromyard and Herefordshire residents.
The couple's tour included the Centre’s headquarters and meeting the senior management team to enjoy refreshments in the Centre’s café, Oscar’s.
Sarah Eardley, Chief Executive Officer said: “We [were] absolutely delighted to welcome The Reverend Lady and Lord Lisvane.

"At The HOPE Family Centre we always enjoy sharing the work we do with visitors and informing them about the wealth of opportunities available. This visit was no exception and we [were] particularly keen for them to see the remarkable facilities we have.

"We are very grateful to the High Sheriff and her husband for making the time to visit us. As a well-established Centre with an understanding of local needs, welcoming such an important figurehead [was] a great occasion for us!”
Sarah concluded : “The HOPE Family Centre is a warm and welcoming place where access to help and support is available and where we work in partnership to create an environment where everyone is made to feel valued and where trust and respect abound.

"The inclusive and holistic ethos of the centre is reflected in all areas of the Centre from the café to the Early Years department, enabling families, children and others in the community to access opportunities and support, depending on their needs.”
