The Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP) is now fully up and running, offering free energy efficiency assessments and access to grant funding for eligible SMEs within Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Telford & Wrekin.

The Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP) offers eligible SMEs a free energy efficiency assessment to identify opportunities to save energy on their site. Recommendations will include actions that can be adopted straight away and at no or low cost to reduce their energy consumption, as well as opportunities that require investment. If the business would like to invest in energy efficiency, funding is available to support 40% of the costs of these projects.

The project is partly funded through the European Regional Development Fund and therefore an eligibility criteria does apply. To qualify for support businesses must be small-to-medium sized enterprises (employ fewer than 250 employees and have a turnover of less than €50 million) and be situated within Herefordshire, Worcestershire or Telford & Wrekin. Retail and agricultural sectors are unfortunately not eligible.

For further information, including examples of projects that could be funded and a registration form see http://hwchamber.co.uk/support/business-energy-efficiency-programme or contact 01905 677 888 / info@business-central.co.uk
