Local Worcestershire agency drp recently had their annual audit for the International Standards Organisations Certifications for Event Sustainability Management

(ISO 20121:2012) and transitioned their Environmental Management (from ISO 14001:2004 to ISO 14001:2015) accreditations. drp passed the audit successfully and has transitioned to the new standard.
With events and businesses often having a significant impact on resources, society and the environment, it is essential to have systems in place to reduce this impact. Events can often cause considerable waste and significant consumption on resources like energy or water, alongside strain on local facilities or communities if not managed properly. These accreditations ensure that companies make themselves sustainable, no matter their type or size.
drp is one of the first agencies to have successfully transitioned to the new ISO 14001:2015 along with their ISO 20121 during this year’s annual audit, which tests whether they are still in keeping with the policies laid out in the ISOs. These accreditations offer guidance and best practice to help companies to manage their social, economic and environmental impact. The ISO standards provide a significant competitive advantage, and drp recently attained the ISO 27001 (Information Security Management) too.
Paul Weston, Health and Safety Manager at drp, commented; “We are very proud to have successfully transitioned through the upgrade to ISO 14001 and maintained our ISO 20121 accreditation - this is a fantastic result and exemplifies our dedication to sustainability as a business. The ISO standards audits don’t just assess our processes and procedures, they look at the drp ethos and culture, as well as our commitment to influence our client projects and experiences to ensure these are as sustainable as possible and have been over the past 8 years while we have maintained our ISO accreditations”
Dale Parmenter, CEO at drp, commented; “I’m very pleased to say we passed our annual sustainability audit for the ISO20121 and ISO14001 standards with flying colours. The auditors were incredibly impressed with the work we do around the environment, the community and CSR in general. A lot of what we do doesn’t get seen and just happens as part of our day-to-day working lives. A big thank you to Paul Weston for all his hard work behind the scenes and thank you to the drpteam for supporting various projects and sustainable initiatives.”
drp was the first in the industry to gain the standard, and is continuing to enhance its standards after 8 years. drp is proud to work with local and national charities, schools and organisations, last year supporting 25 different projects and this year has so far completed 9 CSR challenges.
