WooWeb, the monthly Worcestershire-based meetup for the digital industry, hosted this month’s event “An Evening of Bots and Robotics” at drp head offices in Hartlebury on Thursday 28th February.

. Martin Kearn, Technical Evangelist and Developer at Microsoft, was the leading speaker for the event, as well as Dan Atkinson from drpdigital. The WooWeb meetup talk discussed robotics, and how bots could fundamentally change how we interact with applications.
Martin Kearn is a well-respected industry leader and has been at Microsoft for over 11 years. He’s now an evangelist for the company, and he speaks at events such as conferences, meet-ups, and user groups. Based near Birmingham, Martin works in and promotes: Web, Cognitive, Office, Windows and Azure.
Adam Cox, Head of Development, at drpdigital commented, ““It was fantastic to have the opportunity to host WooWeb again this month. The talks on Bots and Robotics were really interesting and inspirational. In particular, Martin provided a valuable insightful into the world of Bots and how we can use natural language to interact with devices and services. drp hosted the event at the head office in Kidderminster with a cinema style presentation room, pizza, and drinks. There has been 36 WooWeb meetups in Worcestershire with various digital-related topics and last night’s event marked 36 months (3 years) of WooWeb meet ups, and it was well participated with 24 digital professionals attending the evening.
