CURO INHERITANCE TAX SEMINAR PROVIDES INVALUABLE RESOURCE

Home / News & Opportunities

Date: 09/09/2016

The laws guiding inheritance tax and probate are forever changing, and Curo Chartered Accountants are leading the way with a free seminar to advise individuals and families.

Bromsgrove-based Curo who were the first Chartered Accountants in Worcestershire licensed to carry out probate services are providing an overview on the changes to probate and inheritance tax. Their free seminar is scheduled for Tuesday 13th September from 8-9am at their offices in Stoke Prior. The aim of the seminar will be to guide individuals and families through the value of property which can be bequeathed   ‘tax-free’ and deliver practical information as to how the probate process works.

This is the third in a series of free seminars run by Curo on inheritance tax and probate, as it is an area that has a great impact on financial planning and the rules around this are forever changing. Julia Whelan, Taxation Partner at Curo explains the reason for the seminars. “We’re in a unique position being fully licenced for probate, following changes to regulatory and licensing laws. This is a natural extension of our work advising on inheritance tax and valuations, and we are keen to ensure that the public is aware they now have a far greater choice in who delivers their probate services. Having an accountant to advise on inheritance tax keeps all your financial planning under one roof, giving the whole process a seamless flow”. She adds “Our next seminar on 13th September outlines some important changes to the process which should help to optimise one’s tax position. The event should not to be missed by individuals reviewing their estate or wanting to understand how probate works”.
