This week, numerous businesses have taken part in events for “Exporting is GREAT week”
around the country, the Government’s initiative to get 100,000 companies exporting by 2020. The campaign saw over 9,300 responses to export opportunities and 1200 companies taking advantage of the Exporting is GREAT roadshow between its launch in November 2015 and February 2016.
Supporting exporters and potential exporters remains a priority locally. Between 01 April 2015 and 31 March 2016, UK Trade & Investment Herefordshire & Worcestershire assisted 426 companies in the region with export support
and provided specialist services to over 60 medium sized businesses, delivering an overall total of £127.7 million of export business wins. We are pleased that for Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce’s Quarterly Economic Survey for Quarter One
, 89% of respondents recorded an increase or no change in domestic sales and export sales.
