HEREFORDSHIRE BUSINESSES ENCOURAGED TO REDUCE ENERGY USE AT SUSTAINABILITY FORUM

Home / News & Opportunities / Chamber News

Date: 12/04/2017

Herefordshire businesses gathered at Cargill’s Feed Mill site on Thursday 6 April to learn how to reduce their energy use and the environmental impacts of their business operations at the Chamber’s Sustainability Forum.

John Reed from Cargill’s outlined their approach to sustainability and delegates then heard from Caplor Energy and mfg solicitors. The event concluded with a tour of Cargill’s new biomass facility.

The Sustainability Forum is run in association with the Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP), a part EU funded programme that helps local, eligible businesses to reduce their energy use and cut costs through free onsite energy efficiency assessments and grant funding of up to £20 000. Herefordshire businesses are encouraged to apply.

To find out more about the programme, please contact our Energy Efficiency Advisor, Liz Rushton at lizr@hwchamber.co.uk or contact Business Central on 01905 677888.
