AIMEE WINS ‘OFFICE MANAGER OF THE YEAR’ AWARD

Home / News & Opportunities

Date: 12/04/2017

Aimee Williams, of Thursfields Solicitors, has won the ‘Office manager of the Year’ title at a prestigious legal awards ceremony.

Judges at Worcestershire Law Society’s Legal Awards 2017 said Aimee’s “hard work, attention to detail and tenacity” clinched her the trophy in the Best Support Staff category.

Aimee is Thursfields’ internal operations manager based at the law firm’s Kidderminster office, from where she coordinates the activities of 140 staff based at sites in Worcester, Stourport-on Severn, Halesowen, Sedgley, Birmingham and Solihull.

Aimee joined Thursfields eight years ago and has seen her role expand rapidly with the growth of the firm. A totally safe pair of hands, Aimee is seen as a “go to” person in the organisation for all aspects of practice management, everything from Facilities management, Insurances, HR, Compliance and Marketing.

Priya Tromans is president of Worcestershire Law Society and one of the judges for the awards, which were held at a glamourous ceremony last Friday [7 April] at Stanbrook Abbey, Worcester.

Priya said: “We thought Aimee’s ability to manage a large number of offices as well as the additional HR work she does was commendable. She appeared to be genuinely approachable and passionate about the growth of the firm.
“The judges thought her modesty was admirable but she was thoroughly deserving of recognition for her hard work combined with her attention to detail and tenacity.”

Aimee, from Brierley Hill, said: “It was lovely to be nominated and I was very surprised to win. But it was a great evening and really exciting to pick up the trophy.”

Nick O’Hara, managing director at Thursfields, said: “We’re really pleased that Aimee’s won this award, and so pleased at the judges’ comments. It’s fully deserved for all Aimee’s hard work in the background, which is typical of the teamwork ethos we have at Thursfields.”
